Arena is a skill-based memory game built for Pi Network. This policy explains the limited information Arena processes to provide sign-in, persistent gameplay and optional Premium payments.
When you authorize Pi sign-in, Arena receives a Pi access token in the app and sends that token to Arena's backend. The backend validates it with Pi Network's /v2/me endpoint. Arena then uses the app-specific Pi UID and, if authorized, your Pi username. The client-provided user object is not used as the server source of truth.
If you purchase Premium, Pi Network processes the blockchain payment. Arena's backend receives the Pi payment identifier and transaction identifier needed to approve, complete, verify, and recover that payment. Arena stores only the minimum entitlement and fulfillment records needed to remember that the verified Pi UID owns Premium and to avoid duplicate fulfillment. Arena does not request or store your wallet passphrase or private keys.
Arena stores your current level, lives/HP and gameplay score server-side under your verified app-specific Pi UID so progress can be restored after you leave and sign back in. Card layout, currently selected cards and transient combo/animation state are session data and are not used as authoritative paid-entitlement data.
Arena uses Pi Network for authentication and Pi payments. Arena uses a server-side Redis-compatible key-value database to persist Premium entitlement, payment fulfillment records and gameplay progress. Server credentials are not exposed to the browser.
Premium entitlement, associated payment fulfillment records and gameplay progress may be retained for as long as needed to provide the service, restore purchased features and progress, prevent duplicate fulfillment, resolve payment issues, and comply with applicable obligations.
